Clubs and Events ShowcaseMuestra de estudiantes y eventos

The Student and Event Showcase is where BBMS keeps the record of the year — the clubs students run, the celebrations that fill the calendar, and the trips a class remembers long after Grade 5.

Howl and Hoot Newspaper Club & Morning Show

Howl and Hoot is the school’s student newspaper club and morning show. Students report, write, and broadcast for their own school community, and the club keeps its own site where the Morning Show lives.

5th Grade Through the Year

The largest gallery in the showcase follows one Grade 5 class from September to June: a bowling afternoon, holiday costume days, snacks and worksheets at the classroom tables, a class project presented in the gym, students holding signs about acceptance and diversity, a Puerto Rican flag raised at a cultural celebration, 5th graders at the movies, 5th graders with their families, a visit to the Liberty Science Center, and a Knicks acknowledgment along the way.

Those photographs are published on the school’s Edlio site in Apple’s HEIC format, which most web browsers cannot display, so they are described here rather than shown. The full gallery — along with BBMS staff photos from the same year — is on the school’s showcase page.
