About the Bilingual Bicultural Mini School

P.S. 182, The Bilingual Bicultural Mini School (BBMS), is a New York City public elementary school serving students from 3K through Grade 5 at 219 East 109th Street in East Harlem. Our Dual Language Program prepares students for bilingual and biliterate success in English and Spanish while building the multicultural competency they will carry for life.

Our vision is that students become lifelong learners, creative thinkers, and productive citizens who advocate for equity and accessibility and contribute positively to a global society. To get there, the school commits to rigorous learning opportunities in a supportive environment, with a deliberate focus on equity, accessibility, and technology integration.

That work is academic and human at the same time. Alongside strong instruction in literacy and mathematics, BBMS invests in the whole child — through music, visual arts, technology, and theatre; through a schoolwide social-emotional framework built on our OWLS values; and through an after school program that keeps learning going past the final bell.
